I love that the App is now available on the watch face but I prefer the current reading show as a constant like the weather icon does. That would be an awesome feature. All I would have to do is look down at my watch.

I would love to give this five stars but the constant signal loss is frustrating. One of the reasons I went with the G5 was to be able to use the app on my phone. However, its unreliable and I am needing to also carry my receiver.
Please add current reading to complication; if we can just swipe up to see the app, the complication is pointless. Complications should actively display data. Also, the app keeps throwing alerts even after I see and dismiss a high or low. I have to dig my phone out to stop it, again missing the point of the watch. Fix this and Ill raise my rating.
the app itself is fine regarding the features that is has, but the main problem is that it keeps quitting. itll open for 2 seconds and then shut down.
Always been very stable and works great for me. I love not having to carry my receiver around and having my BG on my wrist. So convenient. Sometimes lose data in the middle of the night, but I keep the dedicated receiver near my bed to make up for it.
My G5 app keeps crashing? Please help
Very helpful app. Id like to be able to: add notes to events & see history in detailed format.
Overall a good start. I can see basic info over the last 24 hours. Heres a few things still needed: - ability to scroll back in time to view more than 24 hours of history - a more robust reporting section that we dont need a second app for (Dexcom clarity) - ability to enter 2 types of insulin (short acting and long acting) at the same time Apple Watch functionality is nice though.
I just upgraded from the G4 to the G5 and love the iPhone app. One suggestion to make it better: set up the app icon to show us the BG # right on the icon so I dont even need to open the app. Similar to how the calendar app shows us the date without opening it.
The dexcom technology is great, but G5 should have been way more mature before being released. If theres one thing Ive learned working in product engineering, its that you never take away a feature you had previously offered when "upgrading" versions. Compared to the G4 app, G5 is harder and takes longer to use. I should be able to see how long ago my last reading was taken (share showed 1-5min) and I should be able to change the x-axis of the graph without having to turn my phone to landscape mode (which you could also do in share). Get with the program, software engineers.
The phone app is simple and easy to use. The watch glance works, though it does like to drop connection to the phone. If it does not come back on an hour, usually end up removing and reinstalling app on the phone. This needs fixed. The biggest draw back is the watch complication. All it does is show a link to the phone app. Worthless. What I need to see in 2 seconds is the number. Not a link. Direction of change would be nice is optional and only if theres room For more detail, Ill pull out my phone. Its in there, just show it.
While its an awesome app it still lags it was telling me I was low when I was at 155. My parents are crazy stressed cuz their phones dont get my blood sugars cuz it reads NO data can you guys fix the lag please. Its stressful
Really needs a vibrate option for the alerts. They said whatever your phone is set to will override the settings of the software on the phone- even when my phone is on vibrate the alarms within the app dont notify me. The accuracy IS SO MUCH WORSE then the G4. The app CONSTANTLY re-alerts me for the same low or high BS. I have both repeat options set to never. Its suppose to only repeat alert if you are below 55 but it has consistently mouth functioned since I updated to the G5. Customer service is usually nice but they cant help solve the issues. They had me delete the app and reinstall it 4x and its still doing the same thing. The flaws are super annoying and the accuracy makes me want to go back to the G4. I would wear a receiver on my side knowing its close to an accurate reading then see a false blood sugar on my phone. ^^^ I wrote that about two months ago and have been on the G4 system since. I actually just cancelled all future orders from Dexcom, Im done with the company altogether. They have sent me at least nine replacement receivers since August and every single one has the same issue. It alerts me over and over for the same blood sugars. Ive been alerted six times in the past 45 minutes until finally I turned it off and took the sensor out. The repeat for a high blood sugar is set to 300 minutes so theres no chance its not an issue with the receiver. I gave up on the company. The G5 system was poorly executed and since Ive received nine receivers with the same problem, I have no faith in the product(s) or company. Customer support is terrible at this point and I imagine its because of how high the tech support phone call volume is. I love my a1c being at 5.8 but I would rather check my finger 15 times a day then deal with this crap. I will never use this company again, ever.
The complication for this app is useless, new quick glance is very basic. Lets see if Bluetooth is fixed
Great update, however, theres a handful of things that could be improved. #1 The new complication feature for the Apple Watch is simply a shortcut to the app. This is useless! We want to see our glucose number here! The idea is that we can simply look at our watch face and see our number/trend arrow, without opening the app. #2 I would also like to see more functionality applied to the watch. For example, It would be great if we were able to enter meter calibrations as well as Carb and Insulin doses right from the wrist! You can make it so it uses the watches Digital Crown to make entering super quick & easy! #3 As for the iPhone, we would really like to be able to simply pinch & scroll through our day on the glucose graph. This would make it much easier to follow our daily glucose levels in greater detail. On that note, to help make viewing even easier, I would also like to see the option of having a continuous line on the graph, as opposed to just getting a bunch of dots. It would also be great if there was a dark mode that could enabled. This would be especially helpful at night, so we dont blind ourselves! I think you guys are on the right track. I hope to see these and other changes in the next update, as it will make for a more practical experience for us diabetics.
I agree with other reviewers that the iPhone notification takes up too much real estate. Just the value and the direction arrow would be enough here; the graph is not needed here. I agree that the Apple Watch Complication should be the value and the direction arrow. Here is a suggestion to Apple Watch users: Open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone. Go to General >Wake Screen and under On Wrist Raise select Resume Last Activity. That way if you open the Dexcom watch app, it will show the Dexcom app up every time you raise your wrist to look at your watch. And it does show the time! I wish the time were in a larger font.
I would like to be able to switch between mg/dL and mmol/L.
Shortcut is an improvement. However is there a way to present the glucose values inside the app similar to the date on iPhone calendar app? Takes too much effort to swipe down or open app regularly. Look forward to additional enhancements. Thank you.
I would like to see an option to view a timer for how much time is left on the sensor. Not just pop up warnings.
ALL I WANT is to be able to "acknowledge" alerts from the Apple Watch. Just like you have to "acknowledge" highs and lows by physically opening the app on the iPhone, when I get alerted on my watch, there should be an "Ok" option to cease the 5-minute alerts. This would be so convenient and its all I ask for. Thanks!
