Flawed.
Really needs a vibrate option for the alerts. They said whatever your phone is set to will override the settings of the software on the phone- even when my phone is on vibrate the alarms within the app dont notify me. The accuracy IS SO MUCH WORSE then the G4. The app CONSTANTLY re-alerts me for the same low or high BS. I have both repeat options set to never. Its suppose to only repeat alert if you are below 55 but it has consistently mouth functioned since I updated to the G5. Customer service is usually nice but they cant help solve the issues. They had me delete the app and reinstall it 4x and its still doing the same thing. The flaws are super annoying and the accuracy makes me want to go back to the G4. I would wear a receiver on my side knowing its close to an accurate reading then see a false blood sugar on my phone. ^^^ I wrote that about two months ago and have been on the G4 system since. I actually just cancelled all future orders from Dexcom, Im done with the company altogether. They have sent me at least nine replacement receivers since August and every single one has the same issue. It alerts me over and over for the same blood sugars. Ive been alerted six times in the past 45 minutes until finally I turned it off and took the sensor out. The repeat for a high blood sugar is set to 300 minutes so theres no chance its not an issue with the receiver. I gave up on the company. The G5 system was poorly executed and since Ive received nine receivers with the same problem, I have no faith in the product(s) or company. Customer support is terrible at this point and I imagine its because of how high the tech support phone call volume is. I love my a1c being at 5.8 but I would rather check my finger 15 times a day then deal with this crap. I will never use this company again, ever.
